About

round 1

Welcome to the ‘About’ page!  I’m Jenna — also known as @jennadouce on Instagram. So you’re looking to learn more. About the blog? About me? About working together? About what happened on this weeks episode of the bachelor? Let’s narrow it down and get you the info you’re looking for. I always wanted to start a blog, but I wanted it to mean something to me…a passion project if you will.

I’m an avid travel and lifestyle content creator currently based in Ottawa. I am originally from the east-coast in Canada, and I moved to Ottawa to go to University. I first graduated in Social Working and afterwards in Psychology. Flash forward all this time and here we are – I’m lucky enough to be spending my days doing something I love and travel a whole lot in between.

I’ve always felt inspired and energized by new experiences, travel, learning, wellness and food. I try my best to create a life that makes me genuinely and consistently happy. I love our planet & I love to explore, observe and learn from it’s simple beauty. I love the people close to me and without deep connections, my soul would probably wither away. I appreciate a good laugh, and humor is my favorite wave to ride through life, but deep down, I’m a very soft hearted /sensitive person. Growing up, I was the kid that was constantly playing outside; always dirty; happy and building some sort of reality of my own. I was also that kid that said sorry to my stuffed animals for “leaving them alone” for too long. Well, I’m an adult now, and I still love animals and I still love to explore and dream. If you already follow me on Instagram, you know that I am candid, authentic, and willing to share private aspects of my life so that others can live theirs with more ease and less loneliness. I’m here to share my truth, and I’ve learned that sometimes it’s super pretty, and sometimes it’s not. I appreciate those of you who stand with me every single day to be here for that.

I started my Instagram platform as nothing more than a hobby, and it somehow grew into enough to be a part-time side-hustle. I am forever humble for the opportunities and the community that Instagram has brought to my life and the cool people I’ve met along the way. As much as I love the gram,  I wanted an additional space that would allow for more creative freedom and a space that was truly mine.  If there is one thing I have learned on social media is to not build your entire brand on borrowed land. So here we are. I am here to inspire others to see the world through my lens.
