Are you looking for the perfect cabin of windows submerged in nature? Look no further, La Khabine has you covered! This cozy, contemporary cabin is located in La Conception, only a short 15-minute drive to the village of Mont Tremblant in Quebec. This is a perfect summer, fall or winter getaway for all seasons. La Khabine offers everything that you need to disconnect from your busy life and to connect and relax in nature. The cabin is welcoming and spotless with thoughtful touches throughout. I love visiting Mont-Tremblant because its an easy 2 hour drive from downtown Ottawa, making it a great little getaway. There is a lot to do in the area as well!
I recently spent 4 days and it was exactly what I needed before a busy month ahead. It was great to be able to escape the city for a while and relax. I loved everything about my stay and it felt like they thought of everything for their guests. I really appreciated all the fine details throughout. One of my favorite elements was easily the floor to ceiling windows and the large wrap around terrace! On the wrap-around terrace, the glass railings allow for the perfect views of nature. Everything was thought out perfectly and it ensures that you never have to leave if you don’t want too!
Another favorite was the private outdoor cedar barrel sauna. It was such a treat and the perfect way to relax. Being surrounded by the sounds of nature made you feel like you were at a spa in the middle of a forest. I enjoyed the Sauna in the mornings and evening when it was a bit more chilly outside. It was the perfect way to start off the day.
The kitchen and living room are open concept and modern and feature the famous floor to ceiling windows. Optional, at nighttime, you can use the motorized blinds for some extra privacy. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the cookware essentials that you need to prepare a delicious meal and have an enjoyable stay. Seriously, this is the best stocked Airbnb that I have stayed at.
The cabin features two bedrooms that can comfortably sleep up to 4 guests, so it’s perfect for a family or a group of friends. Each bedroom offers premium linens, luxe down duvets, feather bed toppers, smart-tv’s, and bedside device chargers. The bathroom features a large shower, soft towels, and 100% natural, Canadian-made, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. A hairdryer, washer, dryer are also available. You feel like you are living in the trees yet are immersed in luxury.
Come nighttime, we really enjoyed sitting by the wood stove in the living room while we watched a movie or played a board game. The cabin comes equipped with a few games which is always nice! Did I forget to mention that the cabin is also pet friendly? Luna and Cosmos spent a lot of time running around the enclosed wrap-around deck, perfect for pets, and they loved napping by the fireplace. During the cooler evenings, we enjoyed heading down to the firepit to relax and to enjoy a glass of red wine. FYI: Wood for the fire is provided along with helpful fire-starters for both indoors and outdoors. I can only imagine how cozy it must be during the fall or wintertime!
I am so happy that I got the chance to visit La Khabine, I love different and unique places with beautiful interior / exteriors, surrounded by nature. I spent a blissful 4 days relaxing, doing yoga, connecting with nature, enjoying nice meals on the BBQ, enjoying a glass of wine, reading, going for walks, and so much more. I can’t wait to be back and experience this place during the fall as well.
PS: The cabin is a short drive from Mont-Tremblant and can serve as a great base for exploring the area as well! I took advantage of it and spent the last day in Mont-Tremblant in the village after check-out. This is the perfect spot for ski/snowboarding enthusiasts during winter who want to come back to a beautiful and cozy cabin and recuperate in the sauna and by the fire.
