Hotel B Design & Spa – Provence, France

Hi I thought I would blog about one of my favorite stays in Beaux-De-Provence now that things are slowly getting better in the world and with hopes that travel may become possible again soon! (fingers crossed.)

Prior to the lockdown life, I travelled to the South of France to do a road-trip across the French Riviera and to explore Marseille, Calanque areas, Nice, St-Tropez, Monaco, and Cassis. During this trip, I also wanted to go “inland” to explore the various Provence areas. While in Provence, I was invited to stay at the luxurious Hotel B Design and Spa. Trust me when I say it’s worthy of a blog post on its own! The hotel is in the commune Paradou, in the valley of Les Beaux-de-Provence, in a beautiful region of France.

Hotel B Design is a luxurious 5-star hotel owned by a lovely Belgium couple and is one of the best designed hotels I have stayed in. As soon as you arrive, you can tell its family owned and managed by the warn welcomes and friendliness. The restaurant, Nancy Bourguignon, is a wonderful Michelin dish restaurant offering delicious gastronomy food.

The hotel itself is tucked away about a 15-minute walk from the nearby town allowing the hotel experience to be quiet and peaceful. The nearby town is named Mausanne and it provides great options for dinning and shopping with easy parking (the town is easily walkable and small.) Hotel B Design & Spa is a nice base location for exploring the nearby regions of Provence such as the Beaux de Provence area, St Remy and Les Arles which are all within 15-30 mins drive from the hotel. Many other charming Provence towns and villages are within an hour or so as well.

Minimalism and Elegance

The charming hotel offers 15 exceptional suites that all have a contemporary design – which is hard to find in Provence. All suites are large and have open floor plans throughout. The rooms are very quiet, so it was great to open the door to the terrace and relax outside. The property itself features beautiful views of he mountainous Alpilles Natural Regional Park. The grounds are impressive and large, located in a lovely olive grove, and offers outdoors spaces such as multiple gardens and two great pools.

During my stay, I did the “Toi & Moi” package for 2 people that included staying in the Suite Design D’exception, dinner at the Nancy Bourguignon restaurant, a lovely breakfast and a decléor face or body treatment of 50 minutes at the Hotel B Design Spa (it also incuded Spa access.)

I really loved the privacy and sense of peace that the gardens and pools provided, and it was a perfect hideaway in a lovely setting between trips. I would definitely be back because it was charming and unique. The area is exquisite with olive farms and quaint little towns and the hotel completes the picture.
